How it works. Every AuditVanguard audit-log export embeds a per-client SHA-256 hash chain and an outer HMAC-SHA256 signature keyed with our server-side JWT secret. Verification re-walks every entry and re-computes the signature. Any post-download edit — even a single character in a detail field — will surface as either a broken chain or a signature mismatch.
